Papermaking Pulp

Pulp is the foundation for all papers.  Any fibrous substance can be used as papermaking pulp.  Many people use household paper such as tissue, scrap paper or newspaper.  However, like any recipe, your handmade paper is only as good as the ingredients you put into it.  To make your paper look and feel elegant, you will need to add high quality materials to your mixture.  Buy these specialty pulps such as cotton, wool, scrubbed corn husk and denim.  Experiment with your paper making.  Add a little or a lot.  You will love the end result.
